Moriah, Carbondale, PA

Moriah from Carbondale, PA, is a very active 5-year-old. She takes a gymnastics class and a ballet class once a week and loves both of them. She also attends a fully inclusive preschool three days a week. Her parents proudly note that Moriah is treated "like a regular kid" by her older brother and sister and that she has many friends at school. The entire family is very proud of Moriah and her eagerness "to try everything she sees in life." They say that their hope for Moriah's future is that she finds acceptance by her peers and community.

Moriah has participated in three Buddy Walks. The last two were held in Lackawanna County, PA, and were organized by her parents, Harry and Linda, who co-chair Lackawanna County Parents of Down Syndrome.
