Meet Joey, an affectionate 15 year old from Middle Village, NY.  His hobbies are eating, blowing kisses and giving hugs. He also loves to swim, play catch, ride his bike and watch tv.

His sister tells us:

I'm very proud of my little brother Joey. He has gone through 4 surgeries, including 2 open heart surgeries and he came out of everything like a soldier. I'm jealous of how strong he is. Whenever I'm sad I think about my little brother and how strong he is and it builds my spirit up.

In the future, I would like to start a foundation for children with Down syndrome and other disabilities.  People would be able to donate money to families who don't have enough to take their child to the doctor or pay for good schools.  I would also like to have my own organization for kids.

This will be the first year we will be attending the NYC Buddy Walk.  I don't have any favorite memories yet, but I am sure we will have lots of great memories soon.
