Deven

Lake Arthur, NM

Hi! My name is Deven, and I just turned 2. I live in Lake Arthur, NM, with my Mommy, Daddy, and big sister, Haley. I like to wrestle with my Daddy, play with my sister, and watch Sesame Street & Thomas and Friends. On Tuesdays, I get to take horseback lessons at Reigns for Life; my horse is Apache.  I am very proud of all that I have accomplished so far: I was walking by myself at 18 months; I can feed myself with a spoon and fork; I have about 20 words and can sign several more! Mommy says we are going to start potty training soon!  My parents tell me and my big sister we can both be anything we dream to be. My Daddy wants me to be a Pro Football Player!

I'm a Texan, and we participated in the Dallas Buddy Walk in 2005 when I was 4 months old. Now we live in New Mexico, and we are going to walk in the Roswell Buddy Walk on October 6, 2007. I can't wait!  My only Buddy Walk Memory was from my first Buddy Walk in Dallas. My family, Uncle Dave & Aunt Chie, and my babysitter, Tasha, all came to support me (TWO days before my open heart surgery!).
