My name is Sahira and I live in Baghdad, Iraq.  I have a 23 year old daughter with Down syndrome and I am the head of the Iraqi Down Syndrome Association.  On December 2, 2005, I organized the 1st Buddy Walk in Iraq.  We had 200 people walking through the streets of Baghdad. I am very proud of this accomplishment.  Every year on this date, we will hold a Buddy Walk and celebrate Down syndrome.
