Drake, Streator, IL

My name is Drake. I am 4 years old and live in Streator, Illinois. Some of my favorite things to do are watching my favorite shows, Dora, Dragon Tales, Sesame Street, and Barney, and playing with my brother (Ryan, 5) and my sister (Katelyn, 2 1/2). I also like to push buttons and turn things off and on.

I am very proud of the fact that I can now say over 100 words, walk on my own, and ride my new Amtryke so I can keep up with my brother and sister.

My first Buddy Walk was in Streator, Illinois, and was organized by my mom and dad. My second walk was in Ottawa, Illinois. My parents took the year off because I had to have heart surgery and they wanted to devote all their time to me.

My favorite Buddy Walk memory is from my second walk: I held my mom and dad's hands and walked the whole way! That was a great achievement for me as I still could not walk independently yet.

In the future, I would like to help my Dad with community service and fundraising just like my brother and sister do.
