Makhi’s parents describe him as a happy seven-month-old who loves to roll over, put his hands in his mouth, and play with his older sisters Maiya (who is seven) and Jade (who is three).

Three months ago, Makhi required open heart surgery, which included some complications and from which he is still recovering. But his mom and dad are proud of their little fighter as he continues to grow stronger each day. In the future they hope that he will be accepted by his peers and that Makhi will be afforded every opportunity to be anything that he wants to be.

Makhi and his family plan on attending the New York City Buddy Walk this fall where they hope to make lasting friendships with the people they meet.
