The Minnesota Cleaners Association, which represents more than 100 dry cleaners in the state, has extended its annual blanket drive through October. Place nonperishable food items in a bag marked "SHARE" on your front porch by 9 a.m. Saturday; collections are until noon. If you would rather drop off your donation, visit one of the following locations:

10 a.m. to 3 p.m.: CHUM's Duluth Emergency Food Shelf, 120 N. First Ave. W.; or CHUM's West Food Shelf, 4831 Grand Ave.

9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Plaza Jubilee, Kenwood Festival Foods and Lakeside Presbyterian Church.

Those who are unable to bring food to one of these locations can call 727-2391 for a pickup. Call Meg Kearns or Terri Bunnell at 727-2391 for more information.

Brennan Hair Studio, 1420 Oakes Ave., Superior, offers $6 haircuts from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 22 at the studio. Proceeds will be donated to Harbor House Crisis Shelter, the only homeless shelter in Douglas County. Call Sue Howard or Missy Siers at 392-2816.
