This 279-acre Park features 158 acres of freshwater quarry lake created by a gravel mining operation conducted in the 1960's. This lake, with depths ranging from a few inches to twenty feet, boasts good fishing for bass, bream and other fresh and saltwater species. The lake also supports an array of wildlife, including the American Alligator. A variety of birds, including ibis, egrets, herons, cormorants and anhingas, offer good bird watching and photographic opportunities. The park contains approximately 2.5 miles of paved paths for walking, biking, jogging and most other non-motorized means of conveyance.
