Details: The 9th Annual Buddy Walk will take place at Reunion Ranch located in Georgetown, Texas. . The Buddy Walk is a one-mile walk in which anyone can participate without special training. It is a wonderful, heart-warming event that celebrates the many abilities and accomplishments of people with Down syndrome. After the Buddy Walk, DSACT holds a family festival. Activities will include live musical performances by Joe McDermott, Monte Warden and Elvis, wagon rides, swimming, paddle boat rides, pony rides, kids games and entertainment, raffle and silent auction, sport mascots, community exhibitors, food and lots of fun! We encourage people with Down syndrome to invite “Buddies” everyone from friends and family to teachers, legislators, doctors to join them on the Buddy Walk. Every participant helps promote the importance of understanding, acceptance and awareness.
