Join us in the heart of Times Square as we kick off Down Syndrome Awareness Month and the New York City Buddy Walk with a video presentation featuring more than 200 individuals with Down syndrome from across the country.
On September 28, 2008, the NDSS Times Square Video will premiere for an audience of thousands on the 40-foot Panasonic NBC Astrovision screen, and everyone is invited to this special event. Our messages of acceptance and inclusion will be conveyed to people from all over the world through a montage of photos that highlight each individual's unique abilities and personality.
The video presentation starts at 10:30 am on Sunday morning, and runs for 40 minutes. Immediately following the show, attendees who are participating in the New York City Buddy Walk will be transported to Central Park by NDSS charter buses in time to check in and start the one-mile awareness and fundraising walk at 12:30 pm.
If you plan to attend both the Times Square Video presentation and the Buddy Walk, please email rswitalski@ndss.org. The subject should read “TIMES SQUARE RSVP.” Please send us your name and the number of people in your group, so that we can make proper transportation arrangements for all attendees.
See you in September!
